VLC media player is available on Windows 10 for quite some while now. However, the developers have released the new VLC Beta that runs on the Universal Windows Platform. It means that the new Beta supports Windows 10’s specific features like Cortana support, Live Tiles, etc. Apart from that it also means the new release should work on all Windows 10 based devices including tablets, smartphones, Xbox One, and even HoloLens.

VLC-for-Xbox-One

You should be able to download the VLC Beta on your Windows 10 computer right now. The promised support for Xbox One, HoloLens, and other Windows 10 based devices should arrive soon. As stated the Xbox One version of VLC would offer the same features as the desktop version. You don’t have to use the Xbox media player anymore once the VLC player arrives on the console. It packs the most advanced features for a media player and supports almost all video formats out there.
